Fred:

I love the way that Fred is so much smaller than Sgt Godley. I love his quiet, reined-in passion that he keeps in check by smoking opium and drinking laudenum and absinthe; his unkempt hair, his 'mutton chop' sideburns, his mustache and especially his goatee. (I love goatees!)

Fred has to be just about the most adorable charcter played by Johnny Depp. Who wouldn't want to look after him, sew some buttons on his shirt cuffs and feed him a few decent meals? (Or is that just me?)
